Cedar Pacific appoints David Hill as Chief Investment Officer to continue growth of Living Sectors

Cedar Pacific Investment Management is pleased to announce the appointment of David Hill in the newly created role of Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Hill is an experienced living sector specialist with more than 12 years in commercial real estate capital markets and advisory, previously holding the role of Senior Director of Alternative Investments for Australia & New Zealand at JLL.
Mr Hill has advised on over $4bn of Living Sectors transactions including the sale of the Atira Student Living platform, Journal Student Living portfolio and the University of Canterbury leasehold portfolio, which was acquired by Cedar Pacific in 2021.
Mr. Hill will initially be focusing on completing the capital raise for Cedar Pacific’s Build to Rent fund as well as raising new capital for additional purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) funds including both on-campus and off-campus accommodation.“
This is a special opportunity to build on the success that Cedar Pacific has had to date, establishing the first and only PBSA fund spanning both Australia and New Zealand, together with the second PBSA fund which currently has 1,772 beds under operation and an additional 1,408 under construction.
