Grosvenor and Moata Ventures Commit to Brisbane’s BTR Market with Investment in Cedar Pacific’s Quay Street Project

Cedar Pacific, a leading Australian investment manager specialising in the Living Sector, today announced its second close for its BTR project in Brisbane. Grosvenor’s Diversified Property Investments, a global property developer and investor, and Moata Ventures, a private investment office join Sumitomo Forestry Australia in the project. This strategic partnership is a milestone for both investors into the burgeoning Australian BTR market and underscores the growing institutional appetite for quality build to rent assets in key markets.
Building Brisbane’s BTR Future
Located in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD, the Quay Street project is a transformative development that will deliver a vibrant BTR community under the State of Queensland’s affordable BTR housing pilot program offering around 50% of the apartments at 25% below market rental levels. The project will encompass 475 high-quality apartments, offering residents a range of amenities and a prime location close to public transportation, shops, and entertainment options. Construction has begun under a contract with Hutchinson Builders and completion is expected during Q4 2026.
